Hvorfor opbygge en sikkerhedskultur?

Hospitaler med lave infektionsrater har en stærk sikkerhedskultur i deres operationsteams, styrker altid bedste praksis og har god ledelse på plads for at sikre, at sikkerhed er alles ansvar oppefra og ned.

Implementering af en sikkerhedskultur

Grundlæggende teknikker og sikkerhedskoncepter kan anvendes i praksis i den virkelige verden. Disse omfatter alt fra hudbeskyttelse og rensning til patientopvarmning, fra drapering til instrumenthåndtering.

Overvindelse af barrierer sikkerhedskultur

Det er nødvendigt at tænke over, hvordan tingene gøres for at kunne gøre dem bedre ved at demonstrere, at der er et problem (som kræver overvågning og data), proceskortlægning og plan-do-study-act (PDSA) processer. Det er en udfordring at skabe forandring og nye måder at arbejde på på operationsstuen, men disse forbedringer har en betydelig indvirkning på at reducere SSI og andre patientresultater.
