Mepilex Border ist ein selbsthaftender, absorbierender Verband, der im Rahmen einer prophylaktischen Therapie zur Prävention von Druckgeschwüren und zur Minimierung des Mazerationsrisikos verwendet werden kann. Im Rahmen der Wundbehandlung sorgt er für ein feuchtes Wundmilieu. Die wasserdichte Außenschicht schützt vor Schmutz und Bakterien. Der Verband verfügt über eine Safetac® Wundkontaktschicht, eine einzigartige Hafttechnologie. Er minimiert Schmerzen beim Patienten sowie Trauma an Wunden und der Haut beim Entfernen des Verbands. Mepilex Border besteht aus: • einer Wundkontaktschicht aus weichem Silikonkleber (Safetac) und einer Trägerfolie • einer flexiblen absorbierenden Auflage in drei Schichten: einer Schaumstoffschicht, eine Vliesstoff-Verteilerschicht und einer Schicht mit superabsorbierenden Fasern • einer äußeren Folie, die atmungsaktiv, aber wasserdicht ist und eine Barriere gegen externe Verunreinigungen bildet Zusammensetzung des Verbandmaterials: Silikon, Polyurethan, Polyacrylat, Baumwolle, Viskose, Polyester und Polyolefin.
