Embracing partnerships

Partnerships form the basis of Mölnlycke’s future as the world of healthcare is changing rapidly and we must never stop seeking for insights and acting upon them to revolutionise care for people and planet. We foster collaborations across the entire healthcare ecosystem, including customers, academia, patient advocacy groups, advisory boards and industry associations. We partner across our entire value chain to deliver lasting benefits for society and the environment and provide support to charitable initiatives and education through donations and educational grants. Read how we drive transformation of healthcare in partnership with various stakeholder groups and please contact us if you would like to consider a partnership.

Clinical and health economic research partnerships

Clinical and economic data and evidence are central to what we do at Mölnlycke. That is why we are pleased to support clinician- and scientist-led research projects that generate evidence to help improve clinical and economic outcomes and patient wellbeing. From the initial stages of study design to disseminating your results, we can help maximise the impact of your project. We have experience of supporting various projects ranging from Investor Initiated Studies to simpler Quality Improvement Projects.

Healthcare professional organisations

Partnering with healthcare professional organisations and advisory boards ensures that we stay customer-centric and that our solutions align with the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. These partnerships provide invaluable insights into clinical practices, patient care challenges, and emerging trends, as well as foster credibility and trust. They can also facilitate education, training, and adoption of new technologies. At the global level we collaborate e.g. with International Hospital Federation , in addition to local partnerships of this type. We also drive think tanks with international experts on specific healthcare topics. A result of such collaboration is the recently launched Non-Value Report 2025

Patient advocacy groups

Staying customer-centric requires first-hand insights from patients and end-users of our solutions. For this reason we embrace partnerships with various patient advocacy groups which are aligned with our goals and expertise. Joining forces with patient advocacy groups can facilitate product enhancements, helps increase awareness and advocate for policies that improve quality of care. One such example is our partnership with Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors.

Sustainability partnerships and commitments

We partner with organisations at the forefront of shaping the future of sustainable healthcare. We enter strategic alliances designed to maximise the impact of the partners’ expertise, capabilities and the potential to leverage at scale. Our goal with these partnerships is delivering innovative sustainable healthcare solutions to address global healthcare challenges while minimising the environmental impact and exerting a positive societal impact. Read about our sustainability roadmap here.

Academia

Partnerships with cutting-edge research centres are key to unlocking the potential of new advancements in science and technology to improve patient outcomes. We fully embrace this type of partnerships and one example is a pre-competitive strategic partnership with Center for Applied Intelligent Systems Research (CAISR) – a research profile within information-driven care at Halmstad University, Sweden. Within this project we explore how AI can help improve patient trajectories using real-world patient data from Region Halland in Sweden.

Start-ups and other business partners

We are always on the lookout for innovative ideas and business partners whose expertise complement ours. Our collaboration with start-ups through various incubators plays an important role in injecting innovation into our company. Examples include around 30 annual startup matchmaking events through Ignite – the collaboration for which Mölnlycke has been awarded the Ignite Rising Star award and Yuncture – another incubator for young entrepreneurs where we focus on matchmaking to develop innovative concepts connected to the surgical flow.

Supplier partners

As a global purchaser, we are in a position to influence environmental, ethical and social conduct among our suppliers. We take a variety of measures to set requirements on our suppliers to align with Mölnlycke's culture of high ethical standards. We also innovate together with the aim to offer our customers sustainable solutions. Once a year we invite our major supplier partners to a webinar in a series ‘Partnering for progress’ dedicated to strategic topics like sustainability or digitalisation.

Community Support and charitable donations

We contribute positively to society by actively investing in communities where we operate – and by supporting charities that share our goals. Since 2004, we've been proud to support Operation Smile, a charity that provides free cleft lip and cleft palate (CLP) repair surgery for children in regions where access to healthcare is difficult. The most recent milestone in this partnership was the inauguration of the Comprehensive Cleft Centre of Excellence in Cebu in 2024. Read about our Community Support efforts here.

We also provide charitable donations at the local levels. A charitable donation from Mölnlycke is the provision of financial support, equipment or products to be used for altruistic purposes. Charitable donations are made without the expectations of receiving anything in return, but solely to support charitable causes.

Educational grants

We are dedicated to advancing the knowledge and education of healthcare professionals. To further this cause, Mölnlycke provides educational grants for educational events, scholarships and fellowships, general medical education topics as well as public awareness campaigns. For the avoidance of doubt, Mölnlycke may not directly support individual healthcare professionals.
