Mepilex Border Flex Lite

Mepilex®Border Flex Lite self-adherent soft silicone foam dressing with Safetac® technology Mepilex Border Flex Lite is an absorbent and self-adherent soft silicone dressing. The product consists of: 1) A protective layer consisting of 2- or 3-part polyethylene release liner; 2) A wound contact layer consisting of soft silicone; 3) An absorbent pad in two layers: a polyurethane foam and a non-woven spreading layer consisting of polyester and viscose; 4) A polyurethane film which is breathable but waterproof, print with product name in some models. Safetac® technology Safetac is an adhesive technology that minimises pain to patients and trauma to wounds and the surrounding skin. Mepilex Border Flex Lite is a thin, highly conformable self-adherent and absorbent dressing that maintains a moist wound environment and minimises the risk for maceration. As Mepilex Border Flex Lite maintains a moist wound environment, supporting debridement, there might be an initial increase in the wound size. This is normal and to be expected. Mepilex Border Flex Lite is designed for the management of a wide range of non- to moderately exuding wounds, such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and traumatic wounds e.g. abrasions, blisters and skin tears.
